Jay S. Turner, Managing Director. Mr. Turner has been involved in numerous businesses over the past 35 years. He has acquired or started more than a dozen operating companies and has consulted for numerous others. Jay is known for taking an intense and personal involvement in all his businesses and assignments. Mr. Turner has been directly responsible for the development, construction, management and disposition of over 7,000 residential units and 2,000,000 square feet of commercial and industrial property. Jay attributes his early credit and commercial banking experiences for laying a solid financial foundation. He holds Michigan real estate brokerage and builder licenses and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association. Mr. Turner serves as a court appointed receiver and leads the “Out-Sourced Real Estate Group” for TAS. He resides in Franklin, Michigan with his wife Jennifer.
Kevin M. Burke, Senior Director. Mr. Burke has over 30 years of experience in business management, finance, real estate and professional services. Kevin is a member in good standing of the Turnaround Management Association and he holds a Michigan real estate broker’s license. Mr. Burke cut his teeth in commercial banking as a credit analyst and has gone on to manage the “Special Assets Group” for two other Michigan banks. Additionally, Kevin has managed several privately owned companies and has served as a court appointed receiver. He has working knowledge in sales, distribution, manufacturing and service businesses.
Jennifer B. Turner, Director. Ms. Turner is a creative, goal-oriented business professional with proven leadership experience. She is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Michigan. As a “hands-on working manager”, Jenny possesses exceptional customer service and negotiation skills. Multi-tasking and meeting deadlines are never a problem. She has an uncompromising commitment to detail and transaction completion. Jenny has worked for Turner Group for over 20 years and is active with several non-profit boards and charities.
Donald C. Orzel, Director. Mr. Orzel is an experienced accountant, auditor and controller. He has provided full charge accounting and bookkeeping services for Turner Group, the parent company of Turner Advisory Services, for over 18 years. Don’s business career spans a range of industries, including: retail, service, automotive supply, property management, general contracting and event planning.
Megan Jones, Director. Ms. Jones is the Director of Business Development for TAS and has extensive experience with small businesses and Fortune 500 companies alike. Areas of expertise include real estate, banking, technology and distribution. Megan works with both small businesses and has managed many national accounts and contracts throughout her career. Megan is proficient in operational analysis and process efficiency; integrating technology and product placement for increased profitability and return on investment. She has over ten years of experience in nationwide loan origination and is a licensed Michigan Realtor. Megan holds a BSS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Michigan State University with dual majors in Economics and Psychology.
John Petsch, Director. Mr. Petsch is a seasoned marketing professional with specialized expertize in IT and social media. John combines his diverse experience in marketing, sales and business development with his own personable style to bring increased profit margins and build customer loyalty. John has been connecting people and products through technology for more than two decades. Whether conducting market research, mining prospects, working with designers to develop platforms, networking teams and customers, or improving TAS information and technology flow, Mr. Petsch successfully builds solutions to meet client needs.
Evan H. Turner, Senior Associate. Evan graduated from Boston College with majors in Finance and Corporate Reporting & Analysis and he is a recipient of the acclaimed “Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)” designation. His previous work experience has exposed him to senior management teams and high level financial analysis and due diligence. Evan assists with budgeting, financial modeling and due diligence on most TAS assignments. He is conversant in the use of Argus, Excel, Bloomberg and SQL. Evan possesses keen analytical skills; however, his interpersonal skills and salesmanship transfer well into direct client relationships.
Doug MacInnes, Senior Associate. Mr. MacInnes serves in both project management and superintendent roles for TAS. He spends a considerable amount of time in the field overseeing and coordinating construction services. Doug is well known and respected by the trades and as a result is able to mobilize and maintain construction schedules. He has worked for TAS and its affiliates for over 15 years and brings hands-on construction experience to the TAS team. Doug’s previous work experiences are numerous and include employment with Turner Builder’s Inc., River Bend Timber Framing, Architectural Mill Works and Grelac Construction & Property Management.
